JBR is a non-binary creative who has spent more than three decades in the industry – including as an actor, a director, a writer, a designer, a drag queen, a producer, a dramaturg, a teacher, a comedy booker, a publican, a marketing manager and an agent. They launched their own agency, JBR Creative Management, in 2019.

J is a regular guest lecturer at a number of UK drama schools, and their book, Getting, Keeping & Working with Your Acting Agent: The Compact Guide, is published by Nick Hern Books. They became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2022.
