Hi there! As a fellow stage and screen actor, I'd be delighted to support your audition by reading and, if you wish, by providing peer feedback. I'm conversant in Mandarin. (Details farther down.)

Based in Portland, Oregon, I have acted in plays at mid-size and small theatres as well as in industrials and independent films. I play multiple characters in the Exoplanetary podcast. I have a BA in theatre from the University of Southern California, and I trained in improv at the Brody Theater in Portland.

I speak American English. I grew up in the Midwest, and I spent most of my adult life on the West Coast.

My performance history includes theatrical performances with a western rural Irish accent (two plays) and a South Dublin accent (one play.)

I am conversant in Mandarin. I can hold conversations with older family members about day-to-day things, but improvising with advanced vocabulary would require my learning it first. I have been told that I have a slight American accent.

If you need me to read for you in Mandarin, I will need for you to provide in advance the Mandarin lines written in Chinese and in pinyin (including the accent marks) as well as an English translation. A recording of a native speaker saying the lines would be extra helpful but not always necessary depending on the length, complexity, and vocabulary.
