Vishaal Reddy

Vishaal Reddy is a performer, writer, and entrepreneur from Tennessee and based in NYC. He graduated from Boston University and also studied theater performance at the Atlantic Theater Conservatory and the University of Oxford, England.

While earning his degree, he developed a curiosity for directing and helmed original one-act plays, along with a main stage production of Patrick Marber’s Closer.

Vishaal worked as an actor in Off-Broadway plays and musicals, while also delving into the film and television world with roles in Netflix's The Punisher, Amazon Prime’s Big Dogs, and CBS’s Bull, to name a few.

These opportunities led him to produce and write his content, including the Revry original series, INSOMNIA, which was selected as a part of the Tribeca Film Festival and where Vishaal was selected as a Tribeca Creator NOW fellow. Additionally, INSOMNIA was a finalist for the Sundance Film Festival Episodic Lab and received nominations for Best Digital Series and Performance. His feature film Rangoli was a recipient of the SF Film Rainin grant in 2021/22, was a finalist for the Sundance Producer’s Lab, and won the LES Film Festival's "Stay Indie Project” competition. Vishaal’s latest dark comedy series, Bad Brown Kids, was selected as a semifinalist for the Cinestory TV Fellowship Contest and was ranked within the top 29% of Coverfly’s comedy scripts.

Vishaal is the co-founder and CEO of Snarky Elephant Productions, a Brooklyn-based media company, and artist incubator, that produces scripted and unscripted content, and champions emerging creators whose identities inspire them to defy societal barriers and shift established standards. The company's definitive goal is to develop artists through its mentorship program and artist incubator, the Snarky Incubator.

His work has been internationally recognized by publications including Elle India, Mashable, The Advocate, and Out Magazine. His ultimate goal is to create art that educates and uplifts, focusing on the stories of South Asian Americans and people in the LGBTQ community.
