A current member of the Television Academy, Tora has worked with luminaries including Willem Dafoe, James Franco, Ron Perlman, Marina Abramovic, Oscar-Winners Dustin Lance Black and Paul Schrader. Television credits include The Magicians [SyFy/Netflix], The Mentalist [CBS], Hand of God [Amazon Prime], Game Shakers [Nickelodeon] and the current season of Boss Baby [Dreamworks/Netflix].
With experience on both sides of the camera, working actress Tora Kim-Lake also has perspective as an award-winning writer, director, producer and artist based in Los Angeles and Europe. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she lived in Panama, New Jersey, then New York City where she worked as a singer and musician in rock/pop/experimental genres and toured internationally. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and quickly moved into acting, with now more than 25 credits to her name.
Her original performance art has been shown in museums and galleries around the world. A foodie, scuba diver & adventuress of 30 countries with a passion for shifting paradigms, Tora Kim-Lake creates impactful stories with high entertainment value that connect on a global scale.
Through the non-profit organizations LA Makerspace and the Two Bit Circus Foundation, she hosts Twitch live streams and leads workshops for children teaching them how to make robots, video games and movies.
