I myself have had starring roles alongside Hollywood greats like Andy Garcia, Richard Dreyfuss, and the late Philip Seymore Hoffman. Shiek has created a hit factory of sorts.
My acting school "Shiek Studios" had been a home for many actors seeking to learn and acquire top-flight skills. I'm also an instructor in the master's program at NYFA (New York Film Academy) where I teach directing, directing actors, and producing. My work also extends to BAFTA ( British Academy of Film and Television Arts) which has earned me acclaim for teaching filmmaking & acting with young adults.
My experience in front and behind the camera gives his students real world industry training. My direct style of teaching melds together the different methods of acting such as Stella Adler, Meisner, Chekhov, and Strasberg. My experience allows me to understand the actors' process, creating an intimate line of communication which helps to give the actors clarity. I use this to also help the actors develop self confidence and trust within themselves and their creative choices.

Shiek Mahmud-Bey lives by the motto, “I will find a way, or make one” as he continues his stellar acting career, which has included starring roles alongside Hollywood greats like Andy Garcia, Richard Dreyfuss, and the late Philip Seymore Hoffman.
