Sharmila Devar

Howdy!
Been a working actor for 20+ yrs. Have been reading opposite & coaching all levels of actors for almost as long. Known for my versatility - proficient with both comedy & drama sides (film, TV, commercials, theater).

Available as a reader, for character/background help, to give notes/feedback, and/or for self-taping. Whatever your needs - I'm here to help you feel confident, connected, specific, and for you to go as deep as you can while staying loose & in the moment.

My goal is for you to always bring your own individual magic to the role & sides.

Best known for my work on ABC's SCANDAL (15 epi), NBC's OUTSOURCED (20 epi) and as Ursa Wren on STAR WARS: REBELS & THE CLONE WARS (7 epi). Multiple other TV shows, Feature Films, Shorts, Commercials, VO, Theater work, etc. Have been directed by many award-winning directors and have acted opposite many A-listers.

Meisner-technique trained; Classical theater (Greek Tragedy/Shakespeare/ Chekhov/Becket) training; TV/Film audition technique w/ Margie Haber for multiple years; Commercial w/ Carolyn Barry & Toby Lawless; Chicago theater actor (so Improv is a given).
Most recent training was with Bruce Katzman doing Chekhov. (It was an actor's dream - AMAZING!)
