Samantha Ainsworth

Samantha Ainsworth (formerly Samantha A. Camp) has been an actor, director, playwright, and producer for most of her life.
As an actress with more than 165 stage productions to her credit, Samantha has graced professional and community theatre stages all over the country from NYC to Seattle although she is currently living in Pittsburgh, PA. She won Best Supporting Actress (2017) with the Pittsburgh New Works Festival (ROOSEVELT’S GHOSTS), was twice named Best Actress in a Drama by the Tacoma News-Tribune, won Best Lead Female Actor for the Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project, and was nominated for Best Actress as part of the Pittsburgh City Paper’s 2017 Best of Pittsburgh honors. Samantha most recently tread the boards at History Boy in Jefferson Iowa in BKLYN, the Musical, PICT Classic Theatre in THE HEIRESS, at Throughline Theatre (also in Pittsburgh) in NIGHT, MOTHER, in PERICLES and ALL THE KING’S MEN at Harrisburg PA’s Gamut Stage, and THE REDEEMER at Ensemble Stage in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
A member of both SAG-AFTRA and AEA, she also has worked in over 40 film and small screen projects as a writer, director, and most often an actor. Recently, she was featured in an episode of AMERICAN RUST with Maura Tierney and Jeff Daniels. She produced a season of her own web series THE PITTSBURGH SOAPRANOS on which she also served as head writer and series star. Most recently, she starred in KHAF which is slated for a 2023 release.
Lastly, Samantha recently finished a self challenge entitled The Monologue Project where she learned, analyzed, and performed every monologue in the Good Audition Guides Monologues for Women compilation.
