River von Waldron

[they/them]

Howdy, I'm River! I'm an actor with 5 years of professional experience in the theatre industry, who also has done a handful of VO, film, and music video work. I am a musical theatre artist and I studied at the University of the Arts. Besides acting and singing and dancing in shows I already know and love, my primary interest in theatre is developing new work!

I'm also a playwright and composer- I write both straight plays as well as musicals. Most recently, my musical GHOST TOWN was part of the Polyphone Festival of New and Emerging Musicals, and my play 'coop: the lesbian chicken play' will have its first production as part of WYOpen Stages in September 2022. I have a lot of experience in the developmental process of theatre from both sides- both as an actor, and on the production team.

I'm very experienced with self-tapes, and do a bunch all the time myself! I'd love to help you rehearse, memorize lines, or get that tape done. I'd also be happy to offer any feedback if desired, but otherwise will just stick to being your reader!

I can help you with:
- Memorizing your lines
- Running your lines
- Rehearsing your scenes
- Character and scene analysis to really dig deep
- And reading for your audition tape, of course!

To schedule a time in advance, you can DM me on Instagram @ohitsbetterthisway (Yup, you got that right! It's totally better this way)
