Ranga Jayaratne

Hello there!

I'm delighted to introduce myself – I am a seasoned Speech and Drama teacher, theatre director, and producer with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades. Originally hailing from Sri Lanka, I now call London my home, where I've been passionately immersed in the world of theatre and education.

My journey began as a Speech and Drama teacher, and over the years, I've had the privilege of imparting my knowledge to nearly a thousand students. As the founder of Cue Theatre Co. and Cue School of Drama, I wear multiple hats as a theatre director and producer. My commitment to the dramatic arts extends beyond the classroom and stage, as I proudly serve as a judge for The World Monologue Games – often regarded as the Olympics of acting.

One of my strengths lies in understanding the unique needs of each actor, collaborating with them to bring forth their absolute best. Alongside my teaching role, I have substantial experience in coaching for LAMDA exams, contributing to the holistic development of aspiring performers.

I am trained in RP British
