Maria here! A British actor living in Toronto for the last 10+ years, I’m a working actor with focus on bringing the most life to characters and knowing how to turn that dial up to ten. I have worked on many shorts, web series and worked my way up to television and film (having shot my first two features in the last 6 months).
I adore this craft, I have trained for years and learnt so many valuable lessons that I hope to share with you as your reader to help you bring the best, authentic you to your self tapes - or just to show up as a committed reader, helping you get in the zone of your scenes. I love accent work and specialize in British accents specifically (because, home!).

Maria Frankis is an actor born and raised in Essex, UK. She studied acting, dancing and singing before moving to Toronto in 2011, where her passion for acting only continued to grow with desires to build the most compelling on-screen characters. She recently landed a nationwide commercial making her the face of Aveeno and her first Hallmark Christmas flick, A Not So Royal Christmas, was released in December 2023. She looks forward to the release of her most recent film The Life Coach in the upcoming festival season and can’t wait for what this year has in store!
