Where many may see impossibility, Prince E. Mayes-Sullivan, award-winning writer, director, producer, actor, and funny man sees a world of opportunity despite being handicapped. He operates from a motorized wheelchair and has a slight speech impediment, yet in his 27 years of life, Prince’s creative writing and acting skills produce a tall order for industry peers to compete with. Prince has accomplished more in his 22-year career than some accomplish in a lifetime—proving to the world that being disabled does not equate to one not being fulfilled.

While in high school Prince booked many roles. His phenomenal stage presence and passion for the industry opened the door for Prince to act in Vanessa Lynn’s hit stage productions “Unequally Yoked” and “Boss Lady”. Both of these projects gained national distribution deals. Afterward, Prince graduated with honors in art and drama from John Glenn High School and is also a member of the International Thespian Society.

After high school Prince continued to win awards for his work, including the Soaring Eagle Award and runner-up for the Two-minute Play Competition. He’s written articles for numerous publications.

In 2015 Prince opened his own production company Prince Ink Entertainment. He served as a producer for the stage hit “Stay In Your Place”. Prince also debuted his first critically acclaimed stage play, “Makin’ Changes”, in 2016. In 2017, Prince mounted his second show, “My Best Friend’s Man”,. Prince also released his bestselling book, Love Unexpected, which is available on all major platforms, including Audible. From May 2020 to February 2021, Prince started his weekly web talk show “Advice With Prince” where he talked to some of the most influential and well-known people in the world.

Prince’s transition to television has afforded him acting credits including regional commercials and guest star roles on Peacock’s Queer as Folk and Class of ‘09 streaming on Hulu.

Prince now resides in Atlanta where he runs the Atlanta entity of Prince Ink Entertainment, PIE Media Co. With Vice President Asia Monay, Prince is starring and producing original content.

Prince has extended his hand to collaborate in the entertainment business. He is also publishing for up-and-coming authors. His publishing company released Against The Grain written by Kimberly Kiss, in January 2021. His company’s latest project is a poetry book written by Asia Monay “The Death and Rebirth of Little Angels".

Prince always says, “If I can do it, so can you”. He is determined to “walk tall” with other theatrical geniuses, and no wheelchair will stop him! Prince’s dedication to his art, despite his physical condition has become a badge of true courage and strength.
