Penny L. Moore
Penny has worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for over 30 years. Her first job in Los Angeles was as an assistant at ICM Talent Agency. That is where she learned that the Business of Acting was as important as the Art of Acting. She ran The Actors Group industry showcase sfor 20 years in which she met all the top Casting Directors in Los Angeles and learned from them directly what they look for in an audition.
In 2001, Penny founded The Actors Repertory Theater in the NOHO Theater district, where she still serves as Artistic Director. Penny has been nominated for NAACP Theater Awards and LA Weekly Theater Awards and 2011 was honored by Women in Theater. In 2007 Penny was named one of the top 100 People in Los Angeles by LA Weekly. As a producer, she created over 100 free theatrical performances for the NOHO Theater and Arts Festival and has produced and directed over 20 main stage productions under her Theater Company. Penny’s acting credits include: Frost/Nixon, Justified, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, Parks and Recreation among others. Penny is also an animal rights and political activist. She worked heavily with Animal Rescue Organizations in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to rescue and return animals to their humans.
