Monique Paige

While my mother, who lived in Philadelphia, was visiting her mother in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she unexpectedly went into labor with me. Hence A.C. is where I was born.

Growing up in Southwest Philly was a great teacher of life. Which allowed me to understand the “worlds" of polite segregation, gang wars, drug lords and lots of love from community individuals who made me believe I had a choice. As a teenager I was put into the neighborhood young adult community theater group to get me off the streets.

At the time my Philadelphia African American Theater Community took me under their wings and taught me so much in reference to performing and loving myself.

I am a wife, mother and grandmother of four. After taking off of years to take care of my family I decided to go back to school. I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City class of 2020.

Along with my acting career, I am a world traveler having traveled extensively through North American, Africa and Europe with Paris, France being my most visited place. The world is a beautiful playground.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother of four and world traveler who has worked in theater, film, television and print. I Am a Girl from Southwest Philly who lives in NYC.
