Linda McLachlan

After graduating from the National Theatre School in Montreal, Linda performed in and assistant directed everything from Shakespeare to experimental theatre under the direction of D. D. Kugler, Kelly Handerek, Michael Devine and Susan Cox.

Curious about contributing to other areas of the creative process, she eventually began coordinating and booking productions and performing arts festivals such as the World Stage and Children’s Festivals at Harbourfront Centre. She also worked on several editions of the Toronto International Film Festival as Manager of Guest Relations.

Following a hiatus from performing, Linda took a class at Second City Toronto, where she worked with Michael Gellman among others. She was once again bitten by the desire to perform. Linda has been fortunate to find roles and voice work in various award-winning short films such as ENSOULED, I LOVE YOU MOST and HOPE FOR CHRISTMAS, as well as commercials, television and streaming series. She hosted and produced a podcast called THE ARENA – Living a Courageous Life and now writes on Substack (Writing in the Wild: https://lindamcl.substack.com). Linda runs, kayaks, bikes and does yoga. She spends as much time as possible with dogs and in nature, photographing both.
