So, you want to be an actor? GREAT, me too. We have something in common, we love acting. I hope your love and passion for this craft gives you hope and a reason to continue. I learned in order to continue on this journey, you must know your why, WHY do you want to be an actor? When I discovered my why, the pursuit was easier.

NO, I am not saying it is easy, being an actor is one of the toughest careers to pursue. Believe me, I have been at it for years. YOU HAVE TO LOVE IT TO KEEP GOING! Loving to act is what makes the pursuit easier, even when it is hard.

As an actor, studying your craft consistently is imperative to your career; whether you are a beginner or seasoned actor, you must train. Casting can tell when you are not training. If you choose to train; whether in a university, a studio, private coaching or life’s personal experiences, it is an opportunity to learn, grow and master this craft. I am STILL learning growing and mastering this craft and I want to learn from you too.

I’m pursuing a professional career in television and film. I love the art of comedy, poetry and spoken word performances, but my passion and strength is in drama. I was born and raised on the tiny island of Barbados. Television was limited at the time and every opportunity I got to watch a movie or a show, which was mostly on the weekends, was my happy place. I enjoyed shows like Knots Landing, Dynasty, Flacon Crest, Knight Rider and the A-Team. The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins are two of my favorite musical films, I was intrigued with Julia Andrews as a girl. I enjoyed watching and still do enjoy watching these actors today like, Christopher Reeves, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Meg Ryan, Drew Barrymore, Lyn Whitfield, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Diahann Carroll, Dorothy Dandridge, Loretta Devine, Reese Witherspoon and many more. It would be an honor to work with any of these amazing actors, although some are no longer with us. I love acting, I light up like a Christmas tree inside and out every time I pick a script or perform a monologue. It doesn’t feel like “acting” to me, because I understand the characters I play and I understand my relationship with the other character(s). Once I know who they are and what they want, I can solve the problem or meet that need.
