Katherine Caruso is currently working on her own podcasts and audiobooks. She was born in Virginia and travels frequently. You can currently see her playing her more recent role Skylar on DIRECTV's channel 379 Upliftv on the Daily Bread airing Sunday nights at 8PM (also streaming on VUDU and Tubi, and Apple TV) as well as in the movie How to Get Girls on Hulu as one of the Penga Sisters. Since the age of four, she knew she wanted to work as a film actress. She has always had a passion for the arts. She began studying musical theater, ballet, jazz, piano, gymnastics, and many sports. She began studying at Catholic University as a psychology major with the intention of pursuing Law School after graduation, but her heart was still in theater. She changed majors and pursued acting. Within her first semester taking a class with Gary Sloan, she auditioned for Agnes of God, landing her first lead role in a three person play. She has also worked in Washington, D.C. at the Department of State, and Congress, as well as in real estate. She has been working in D.C., and is now doing work Nationally. In college she began intensive practice of martial arts ( Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, etc. ), and now does her own stunts.
Katherine Caruso last played Skylar in The Daily Bread a television series shot in Virginia. During the filming of this, she also played a supporting role on REELZ CopyCat Killers, Wolverine episode. She was very proudly part of the anti-smoking campaign by Truth Orange and in several of their commercials. Her latest film on the DC 48 Hour film festival won several awards.
She is now in pre-production for three features and one pilot.
My Name Ain't Leroy (MNAL) will begin filming in January.
