KARA RAINER

Kara Rainer grew up in the Azalea district of the Rose City, Tyler, Texas. At a very young age, she began writing songs and plays to entertain her family and used her rank as the oldest sister to persuade (aka "forced") her 2 younger sisters to participate in her "musicals". Kara studied classical piano and voice, focusing on singing for many years until acting caught her attention. Kara has worked on commercials, television, music videos and several films across the United States. From having the opportunity to work in NYC in an Off Broadway Stage Show: Inferno: Fire at the Cocoanut Grove at Theatre 80, to working in Miami on a TV pilot as one of the leads in a comedic role, and rowing a canoe for 2 solid hours in a L.L. Bean commercial, in the freezing rain have been some favorite experiences. She also loves narrative writing. Her first screenplay Rorrim, was selected to be in competition at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Her ancestry is a fun rainbow of flavors including British, Irish, French, and Scandinavian, with a hint of Spanish & Portuguese, and Congolese & East African.
