Julian Weigert

Bilingual English & German native, recovering my French and currently learning Spanish.

Started acting at 8 years old, been around for a while but now getting serious about acting.

Growing up on the countryside, about 100km outside of Berlin, Julian Weigert started making movies and acting at the age of 8. Inspired by legendary kiwi Filmmaker Peter Jackson and his Lord of the Rings Trilogy, he started to learn as much as he could about filmmaking and how to improve from project to project. Through the support of his older brother, he first learned how to handle a camera and later how to edit video footage. For the last 20 years, Julian has continuesly worked on his own movie projects and completed many projects that were commission based. In September 2014, at age 18, he moved to New Zealand to explore this beautiful corner of the world while working as a Working holiday visa holder. After roughly a year he returned to Berlin but visited New Zealand again in 2016. At age 22 moved to London but returned after a year to commence his studies in American Literature and Media science, which he completed in Dec 2022. He then returned to New Zealand and traveled both, the North and the South Island and then moved to Australia for 9 months. He's currently residing in Berlin while finishing his indie movie called #goodcancomefrombroken which was shot in 2018.
