Something that has always been my favorite part of acting is the excitement of getting a new script, side, or character breakdown. It's like being introduced to a new friend. I love discovering new pieces to the puzzle of a character. As a reader, I will be engaged and enthusiastic to help you unearth what lies below the surface and get to the heart of the scene we're in. I'm friendly, punctual, and I care about helping you get an audition you can feel proud of. I understand why you need a reader and I am here to fill that role when you need it most. Whether you're scrambling to memorize lines for a 24-Hour turnaround, stuck on understanding and nailing down your character motivation, or just want to practice something you're working on, I'm happy to be here for you.
Born in Texas to immigrant parents, performance and creative expression has always been an art of passion for Joyce Day. Starting from a young age, Joyce danced in talent shows, sang in school musicals, and played French horn for 7 years. She danced Hip-Hop competitively for 5 years. Professionally, she has acted in short and feature films, television, and commercials. In between auditions and work, Joyce continues to study character analysis, scene study, and the Meisner technique weekly with her classmates in multiple acting classes. Eager to meet new actors and collaborate with one another on auditions, scripts, and scene work.
