Josh Flashman

Hey guys! I am a medically retired US Marine Special Operator-turned-actor, and I look forward to working with you on your tape!

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in Acting For Film from the New York Film Academy, and over 12 years of acting training and experience. All of my on-camera principal work up until this point has been in independent projects. Presently, I am the lead in an immersive, audience-interactive, largely improvised play in Beverly Hills. I also studied under Cotter Smith at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in NYC, and I have extensive improv experience.

As mentioned above, before getting into acting, I served 6 years in the US Marines, as an Infantryman/Special Operator on a hostage rescue and nuclear recapture team. I also briefly served on a National-level tactical team in federal law enforcement, and spent some time in Intelligence as well, including time spent both undercover and under non-official cover.

Along with being a competitive bodybuilder, I have also been doing mixed martial arts and combat sports for 29 years, so, apart from being extremely experienced at playing roles that fit my look, if your audition sides require improv, or if the scene you’re reading sides from has any sort of combat, military, law enforcement, intelligence/espionage, or combat sports connection to it, then I am uniquely qualified to guide you through it.

If you are looking to get in shape for a role, I am also a certified personal trainer, I have taught trainers at the college level, I coached a college football strength and conditioning program, and I was a cadre instructor during a special operations assessment and selection course in the Marines, and I would love to train you! I offer in-person sessions if you are in LA, and I can write you up a fitness and nutrition program, and guide you through it if you are not, or if you would prefer that.
