John Delaney

I deem myself to take a dedicated, passionate and aggressive approach to my roles. I am based in Manchester, but prepared to travel and stay at location throughout the duration of a given project. I have a neutral Mancunian accent but can portray a vast amount of additional accents. My natural role is a villain or an ultimate bad guy character. This allows me to naturally utilise my main hobby which is boxing , channelling aggression and intimidation.

I have studied Acting since my college years, this was drawn from a foundation of playing lead roles in every show in primary and secondary school. I took this to University level again studying acting before gaining my PGCE. The idea being to teach my passion rather than trying my hand in the industry.

This break however set me back longer than expected as I became a single father. However, I then learnt to utilise acting within life scenarios and research emotions further than I had done before.

I spent my earlier years performing in theatres rather than featuring on screen. So during my current resurgence I have enrolled at 'Jim Cartwright Acting School', and 'ActupNorth'. This has allowed me to home my skills within a tv and film environment and how to portray myself in front of camera to execute my role accordingly and hit all desired and directed criteria.

More recently I have completed short films both corporate and student and have received some amazing but constructive feedback. I uphold excellent time keeping so there is never a delay to any project.

I have a hunger and desire to complete any challenge presented and do so with a determination to reflect myself as a true professional. I relish any roles and dedicate my time in reflecting directed input as well as enhancing roles with my own creative flair.
