As an auditioning actor myself I know the importance of having a quality reader for self taping, and when the self tape requests keep rolling in the favors from friends begin to run thin. I want to help you shine in your next audition, so that it can hopefully be your last (at least until after this contracted is booked, we all know the grind never really stops).
I have trained in a variety of techniques, and can easily adjust my approach as a reader based on your needs for the particular audition. Whether it's drama, comedy, classical, contemporary, or even with a dialect - I will work to make sure your work is showcased exquisitely for casting.
Jae Weit (they/them/theirs) is a trans-nonbinary multi-passionate artist, administrator, and advocate with over 5 years of experience in professional theater and entertainment. Their work includes starring in two world premieres, managing new and existing Broadway productions, and striving to make the theater industry a more equitable environment for the LGBTQIA+ community. Jae’s work has inspired thousands of audiences and enlightened multitudes of creators and collaborators through performance, leadership, and education. Jae is a 2020 BFA Musical Theater graduate from The University of Utah, and with additional acting studies at Atlantic Acting School and Upright Citizens Brigade.
