Francisco Gonzalez

FRANKIE GONZÁLEZ is a bilingual Actor (fully fluent in English & Spanish), Vocalist, Producer, and Teacher.
PERFORMANCE
González won the BroadwayWorld 2019 Award “Best Actor in a Musical” for Matt in the The Fantasticks, and wrapped a successful run with Lauren Gunderson’s reimagined Peter Pan & Wendy at the Shakespeare Theatre Co.
He trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He graduated with Honors at NYU Tisch and received the Founder’s Day Award, after immersing in a full curriculum of liberal arts courses in writing and production, alongside conservatory training in Acting and Music. He received the Stagebound Scholarship to study classical voice at the National Opera Center in Chelsea.
As a vocalist, González has produced and performed in concerts throughout NYC. His work has been showcased at Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, the National Opera Center, 54 Below, and the Green Room 42. He put together OFF THE DEEP END—a concert series at the Duplex that raised money to benefit mental health awareness and the Bring Change to Mind Movement (Co-founded by actress & activist Glenn Close, a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging dialogue about mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy). This particular project was extremely successful.
He currently works in film.

TEACHER
Gonzalez is passionate about empowering individual expression. His mission is to bring harmony, nobility and strength to the minds and hearts of those around him.
Gonzalez is currently teaching Acting for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and assisting with Actor Training at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, in addition to coaching actors privately. He has led and taught workshops on Acting, Character Development, Text, and Voice/Speech for the Shakespeare Theatre. He prepares working adult and child actors for auditions.
Gonzalez has trained intensively as a yoga and meditation teacher. His meditation and yoga classes and workshops are open to all levels and designed with attention toward the particularity of the individual, environment, zeitgeist, and astrological terrain of the moment. His classes are for students seeking to cultivate an agility, creativity, expression, flexibility, and strength in an encouraging, non-judgmental environment.
He teaches private and group classes in-person and virtually. He has experience in various fitness, dance (African, Ballroom, Salsa, Tango), and yoga modalities, Balinese Masque, Improv, Pilates, and has trained in the Lucid Body and Alexander Techniques.
