I go by the name of "Diane D" since Diane appears to be a popular name. I have been involved in acting , singing and dance for most of my life with a strong theatrical foundation. I have owned and operated five dance / performing arts schools where I taught acting and dance from 1995 to 2006 in Atlanta. Much later in my life, I decided to pursue acting as a second career after retiring as a Healthcare professional.
I enjoy teaching and have assisted many in the performing arts to hon their talent as I continued to hon my own craft.
I am not an Oscar winning actor yet, however, I'll do my best to help you achieve your dream and BOOK! So let's get started!
I have a strong theater background however, over the years, I've trained in acting for TV/Film, V.O. and commercials. I've lived in Georgia for a little over 30 years and recently retired as a Healthcare professional majoring in surgery and a USAF flight nurse to concentrate on my acting career. Years prior to moving to Georgia, I studied at the American Academy for Dramatic Arts as well as Herbert Berghof Studio where I did most of my dance training. I go by the name of "Diane D" and have owned and operated 5 Performing Arts / Dance schools in Atlanta from 1995 to 2006 at which time I close down to pursue acting. I've written, produced and directed several productions from musicals to dance recitals to stage plays.
I have done several commercials, one being Points Bet with Shaquille O'Neal which went international and I have also appeared on both TV and Film. Although I've been an actor, singer and dancer all my life, it wasn't until much later in life that I decided to actually start a second career in entertainment. I am SAG-AFTRA eligible.
Although acting is my passion, I also love the dance, so to give back to the community, I volunteer time working with children teaching ballet, jazz or occasionally a hiphop piece. I also volunteer at my church, working to assist the homeless and hungry. I love playing my piano although I've become somewhat rusty over the years. I am so grateful to be able to do what I love and that is storytelling / acting, no matter the age.
