The intriguing thing about Tehmina Sunny is that she seamlessly fits into a plethora of ethnicities from around the world. Her ethnically ambiguous looks and super sharp skills with accents gives her an international appeal. Born in London, Sunny has played characters from the Middle East, South America, North America, Native American, Spain, Italy, North Africa and the Indian sub continent. Portraying memorable characters in Emmy award winning TV shows, Golden Globe nominated productions & Oscar winning movies.
Sunny’s career took off in the Oscar winning movie 'Children of Men', directed by Alfonso Cuaron with Michael Caine, Clive Owen & Julianne Moore. 'Argo' with Ben Affleck soon followed for which she shared a SAG Award win in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble cast in a motion picture category. She recently filmed the sequel of the Social Network with Jeremy Strong & Mikey Madison, working with writer/director Aaron Sorkin.
On the small screen, she has portrayed a retrospective of characters in productions including, CBS's Training Day with the late Bill Paxton, NCIS, CSI, FOX's 24: Live Another Day & The Following with Kevin Bacon. Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom on HBO, ABC's Mistresses, CW's Sci-fi show Pandora, NBC's Primetime show, 'Chicago Med' & Netflix's glossy legal drama 'Partner Track'.
As a producer, 'Run Amok', had its debut at Sundance 2026. With several TV projects underway, working with writers, pushing the needle forward on cutting edge projects.
