Rae Lane

Hi, I'm Rae Lane and I'm a trained actor and coach (actors and non-actors alike) and understand the limitations with self-tapes that can impede with the reality and believability of a performance. Believe, me I GET it!

I have gone on my fair share of auditions and I have worked with many other actors of all ages with their audition pieces helping with an environment that allows them to BE and truly make a scene impactful and believable as best we could in the time frame that we have.

I'm a good listener/partner and I'm not here to give you (unsolicited) advice although I'm happy to provide feedback as much as you would like and share what I might know that can help you. I'm here to support your craft, and I respect your process.

Whether all you need is a reader who is present with you to unlock variations in your work, or if you need a sounding board to explore different choices to make your monologue or scene have those peaks and valleys, I'm here for you.

I can help with:

- Rehearsals/Audition preparation
- Reader for your self-tape
- Breaking down your monologue or scene -- coming up with different choices/approaches
- Exercises ("in-your-own-words" or "essence") to help with energizing the scene
- How to quickly memorize lines
- Histories
- Cold-Reading technique: monologues and scenes -- lines not off-book! no problem!

I'm quite flexible and great at taking direction so feel free to let me know exactly what you need.

I look forward to the pleasure of watching your work and supporting you in the however I can.

Tips and donations are always appreciated. If you prefer to contribute via Venmo, please do so @Raelaine

Based on your experience, we'll cover anything from self-tape best practices to acting technique. I also offer in-person workshops and classes in my studio.

For rates and to schedule a session, find me on IG (@MsRaeLane) or send me an email at info@neighborhoodactingstudio.com

****In support of my fellow actors as I know the hustle and understand the struggle, if interested in coaching and cannot pay my normal rate, I have a "starving artist" program and offer my classes and private coaching on a donation basis, paying what you can. No worries at all. ****

Thank you so much!
