I am Zakiya, (also known as just Kiya ;-), and I have been acting & training for over 20 years. I am classically trained, with a BFA in theatre from the esteemed HOWARD UNIVERSITY. I have appeared in numerous stage productions, television shows, independent films and MANY digital pieces of content!
I LOVE ACTORS, & I LOVE to coach! Being a reader is a rewarding way for me to give back to the acting community that gives so much to the world everyday!
Most recently, (during these crazy pandemic times), I have just completed a year long training with the UK based IDENTITY SCHOOL OF ACTING (John Boyega, Letitia Wright, T’Nia Miller, Regé-Jean Page), at their highest level of study, the Professional Tier. My most recent credit is on a new APPLE TV show called “Swagger”! You can also catch me every week using my vocal ability on SiriusXM radio!
