Thais Menendez

Thais is a Cuban-American trilingual SAG-AFTRA actress, educator, and writer, having appeared onstage & onscreen in English, Spanish, and French. A Miami native and a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Theatre & English, Thais performed in theatre regionally before moving to Los Angeles (her “forever home”). Favorite lead roles include Nina in the world premiere of Things That Are Round (Rep Stage), Celimene in A Misanthrope (Avant Bard), and Perfect in columbinus (1st Stage, Helen Hayes Best Ensemble nomination). She is also a yoga instructor (RYT-200), a teaching artist with BRIDGE Theatre Project, and an SAT tutor. Thais is named after the opera by Jules Massenet, inspired by her grandmother’s time as a singer in Cuba. In her “downtime,” Thais enjoys rollerblading, surfing, baking childlike-yet-elaborate cakes, and doing crossword puzzles.
