Schonté Hamilton is a multifaceted creative originally from Chicago, Illinois. She began her artistic journey in her teen years, touring with a community theater company that laid the foundation for her dynamic career in the entertainment industry. Schonté holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Broadcasting and Print Journalism from Lewis University, with a minor in Radio, TV, and Film. She also earned a Master's in Digital Journalism from St. Bonaventure University, further honing her storytelling skills.
As a writer, Schonté has created several successful stage plays, short films, and feature films. Her stage play "Queen Me" was a finalist in the prestigious New York New Works Theater Festival, debuting in front of the Broadway community. Her short film *The House with the Bright Light* made its premiere at the Twin Cities Black Film Festival and received acclaim at the Grand Junction Film Festival.
In addition to her writing, Schonté is a gifted actress, known for her performances in award-winning productions such as *Doubt* and Sister Act, the Musical. She has also appeared on The Steve Harvey Show and TV One's Find Our Missing.
Schonté has trained with Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles, CA, deepening her commitment to her craft. She is also a soul recording artist, performing under the name "Tresey," a childhood nickname. With two albums and several singles, she continues to share her voice through music.
