Sarah Hensley
A life long creator, I recently gave up a full time, successful legal career to pursue my MFA at Columbia College Chicago. I'm well versed in the trainings of Stanislavski, Haugen, Grotowski, and Le Coq.
Since graduating in 2021, I have directed my own short film and two shows, written a play, written scenes for actors' reels, helped bring a handful of new works to life, and associate directed at a prominent non-equity theatre in Chicago. Most recently I worked as an ensemble director at another non-equity house, and the cast enjoyed the process so much they asked me to create a physical theatre workshop for them.
Teachers and directors that I have worked with as a performer have told me I have a good directorial eye. But I also love boundaries (who doesn't?)! Don't need coaching/feedback and just want a voice? You got it!
I so enjoy helping others bring their dreams to life. I want to give you the best support to nail your audition!

I recently completed my MFA in European Devised Performance Practice at Columbia College Chicago. I am focusing on developing my own theatre company, PhysicalLies; we workshopped our first show, How to Escape Hell, at Otherworld Theatre in Chicago.
I also enjoy writing scenes for actor reels.
I thoroughly enjoy helping others and am passionate about creating meaningful art.
