Requell Jodeah
Hello, I'm Requell! I'm based in Vancouver, BC and have been working in the industry for over 8 years. I've trained with amazing teachers and have worked with some incredible performers over the years. I have about 4 years of teaching and coaching experience. I taught at an acting school in Vancouver for a bit, but now coach privately.
I would love to help you with whatever you're working on as a reader, director, coach or idea-bouncer-off-er. Just let me know what you need!
I can:
- Give you a fun, compassionate and judgment free zone;
- Read for you in a Standard American or British accent (or other accents if you wish. I'm
decent with accents I'm told);
- Connect with you and give you a natural, fluid read that gives you something to work
with, but without overpowering your performance (you are the focus of your audition);
- Provide direction if you want it, and help you find ways to make more specific choices
and/or use my audition and self-taping experience to help you fine tune your
submissions. Rest assured, I will not offer notes unless you ask.
Accent coaching:
My natural accent is English (think London, and RP). I am not a professional accent coach, but I have helped several performers learn and fine tune a standard British accent for specific roles, so I am happy to help you too.
Reserved Sessions:
I try to be on here as much as I can, but if my beacon is offline and you would like to schedule a session in advance ($60/hour minimum), please shoot me a DM on Facebook or Instagram at @requellj or contact me through my website at www.requellj.com.
I look forward to collaborating with you!
