Christa Boarini
Christa Boarini is an independent director, producer, and screenwriter. She received her BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her producing credits include ALL THAT WE DESTROY for the Hulu/Blumhouse series INTO THE DARK, Tribeca/AT&T grant winner MARVELOUS & THE BLACK HOLE, the upcoming DIARY OF A SPY, and the Mexico-set horror film THE OLD WAYS, now on Netflix. In addition to music videos and branded content, Christa’s directorial work includes the Guatemalan fantasy short MARADENTRO and more recently the fantasy/horror short BRACKISH, which is now available on the popular online platform Alter. For two consecutive years Christa has had feature projects in development participate in the Frontiéres Market through the Fantasia Film Festival and the Marché du Film Cannes: in 2021 she presented erotic thriller CONFECTION in partnership with the German studio MMC Movies, and this year Christa will be attending again, this time with Guatemalan magic realism kidnapping thriller, FIRECRACKERS AT MIDNIGHT.
