Jacob Garcia

Hey everyone!

From a simple reading to a shared self-tape audition, how often has this experience felt like a competition? By maintaining a spirit of collaboration we accomplish our end goal in a manner where we both feel proud and celebrate each other.

If I show up and give the best version of myself, then a comfortable, safe, and encouraging space opens up for you, allowing you to give the best version of yourself.

"Jacob's vulnerability is his strength, and his strength is his power." — Beth Ryne (Casting Director)

For your next audition or rehearsal, I'd love to assist with any of the following:
Self-tape reader
Scene and line rehearsal
Text analysis
Scene and audition breakdown
Character analysis and building
Memorization technique

As a bit of background, I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Film. My behind-the-scenes knowledge and education allow me to view every role from both sides of the camera.

In 2018 I was accepted into the inaugural program of the Los Angeles branch of Identity School of Acting (IDSA), a London-based drama school founded by Femi Oguns. IDSA encourages diversity in theatre and cinema, specifically catering to actors coming from a multi-cultural society.

"Jacob Garcia has been consistently focused and his work has been exemplary." — Anthony Mark Barrow (Head of Acting at IDSA)

When one of us wins, we all win!

From a simple reading to a shared self-tape audition, how often has this experience felt like a competition? By maintaining a spirit of collaboration, though, we accomplish our end goal in a manner where we both feel proud and celebrate each other.

If I show up and give the best version of myself, then a comfortable, safe, and encouraging space opens up for you, allowing you to give the best version of yourself. This seemingly simple attitude of helping each other not only guides my acting process but also guides my life.
