Nailya Shakirova

Nailya Shakirova was born in Siberia, Russia. Nailya has been working as a dancer and a magician’s assistant in many
productions and nightclubs, but always felt like that was not enough. She could never forget her theater
years and her interest in human psychology is what made her decide to pursue an acting career.She has
studied with some great teachers in Las Vegas and Los Angeles and in the last 12 years has worked on 40
plus films and TV shows. Some of them include feature “Betrothed” will Bill Oberst and Omar Gooding for which
she has been nominated. “Watch Jessica die” produced by Penn Jillette and “Station to Staiton” that won best
ensemble cast. The latest project was a horror/thriller feature “Locked In” where she played a lead
role opposite Robert Mukes from Rob Zombie’s “House of a 1000 corpses”. Her favorite characters to play are the
ones that have both good and bad qualities to them as it makes them more human. In her spare time Nailya loves to
practice yoga , stage combat, fire dancing and travel.
