Born in Kingsport, TN. Thus, I have a killer Redneck, Deliverance-style, Appalachian accent. Proud member of the LGBTQ+ Community.
Studied at American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC 1987/88. I ALSO knew I wanted to be an actor since I was a child, so I started studying all the accents on PBS (Standard American) and Masterpiece Theatre (Posh and Cockney Brit). I recently won Best Actor playing an Aussie Trans Woman in Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical and was company Dialect Coach for that.
I started my career with a year-long National Tour of "Cabaret" in 1989. Moved to LA in 1992, where I joined international touring ensemble of Rachel Rosenthal Company, touring for 12 years. Took a break for two years while fight Stage IV Lymphoma. 15 years in remission currently. Since then, I've worked in theatre, film and tv. Multiple theatre credits include the lead as Bernadette in "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", 2019 Ovation Award winner for Best Musical of at the Celebration Theatre in Hollywood. Recent film/tv credits include supporting role in Anonymous Killers, and Guest Star on CBS' The Inspectors.
