Mitchel Kawash
I am a New York-based actor with experience on both stage and screen. I trained at LAMDA and Yale.
I am committed to giving clients the assistance they need at any stage of preparation. I will always begin by asking what you hope to get out of our time together: sometimes actors want a full coaching session with notes and exercises, sometimes they want to run lines and be checked for accuracy, sometimes they just want to read the words out loud with a responsive scene partner. I am qualified to do all of the above and intuitive enough to provide individually-tailored assistance to each actor.
I am also available to read for self-tapes.
Though I routinely work with all kinds of material, one of my great passions is helping actors master classical text. I have extensive training and professional experience working with this material (especially Shakespeare), and I love helping actors find a sense of ease and confidence approaching difficult language.
I also provide accent coaching when relevant. My British RP has been certified to a native standard by the former dialect coach of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and I can provide coaching for a number of other North American, Irish, and UK accents with notice.
I am a New York-based actor with experience on both stage and screen.
Most recently, I appeared in a national commercial for Match.com as well as the television show "Diabolical". Theatre credits include work in New York and London as well as regionally across the United States. I have also appeared in numerous short films and a radio play.
I did my graduate acting training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and I have an undergraduate theater degree from Yale University. While at Yale, I was honored to sing with the world-famous Whiffenpoofs, with whom I traveled to all seven continents (Ask me about my penguin pictures!) and performed in prestigious venues from the White House to Lincoln Center.
I have an irrational obsession with the Olympics and a pet rabbit named Piper.
