Chrystel Contreras

Hi, I'm Chrystel! I was a child actor many moons ago and returned to acting full-time in January 2020. Times have definitely changed since my headshots were in black and white! Yup, I am that old! It has been interesting times in the audition world as I am sure you all know. Self-tapes/virtual auditions are the standard now and don't appear to be going anywhere.

I'm was born and raised in L.A. and lived there most of my life, but I recently made the move to the southeast region and I am now based out of Atlanta. I still maintain a home and ties in L.A. so that I can work there as a local hire when required and continue training there with my favorite acting studios. I'm currently enrolled in ongoing classes at Graham Shiels Studio (film/tv). I've also trained at Scott Sedita Acting Studios, Verve Studios, Howey Acting Studio, and Drama Inc. My focus is film/tv. I do like the theatre, but I do not come from a strong theatre background, but that doesn't stop me from auditioning for theatre roles!

I heard about WeAudition through the grapevine and decided to give it a try. I can only do so many auditions with apps on my phone or terrorizing my non-actor friends. I joined this site to find readers and to offer my services as well. It takes a village to make it in this business and I believe we all need to help and support one another!

If you aren't feeling me or feel like you aren't getting what you need from me within the first few minutes, we can end the session and no hard feelings. Because believe me, I've done it to a couple readers when they were reading for me (in the nicest way possible, I promise!) This has never happened, but I like to plan for all scenarios.
