Marc Ozall

Hi there! I’m Marc, and whether it's through rehearsals for a specific job or actually filming the self-tape for it, I’m here to help you SMASH your audition! After gaining my BA in Theatre and Film from the University of Wales many moons ago, I trained at The Method Studio London, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York and, more recently, The Actors Class London.

Having performed Shakespeare Off-Broadway in New York, toured in an English-language production in Germany and worked on contemporary theatre productions in London, I took a ten-year break from the industry. Since returning in 2016 I have worked primarily on screen, including a Golden Globe-winning Netflix TV show, a feature film nominated for Best British Independent Film at the National Film Awards, and a short film for Oscar-winning cinematographer Ali Farahani.

I am always happy to offer as much or little feedback as you feel will be helpful. If you feel you would benefit from a little guidance to really make your tape stand out, I specialise in:

• Technical proficiency - getting the look, sound and feel of your tape right
• Script analysis – finding the through line, the beats and the emotional journey
• Camera technique – connecting with both the scene partner and the audience
• Naturalistic performance for stage and screen – Strasberg, Stanislavski, Chekhov etc
• Character choices – bringing truth to the character in interesting & unexpected ways
• Emotional honesty - finding truthful emotion

As a reader I will ensure my performance is engaged enough to provide you with the stakes you need, but subtle and underplayed enough to highlight the most important person … YOU!

I am proficient in a range of British, European and American accents, and am happy to help you with your accent or read in a specific accent if required for your tape. The most important thing in this whole process is you getting the part, so however you want to utilise the time, and whatever degree of feedback you want, that’s exactly what we’ll do.

I’m always happy to arrange appointments at short notice, so if I'm not online just drop me a line on Instagram or Twitter (@marcozall) to arrange a suitable time. If I am online, just click on the Instant Rehearsal button and we can get cracking on getting you the role!

I very much look forward to working with you!

I am a dual nationality (English/Irish), bi-lingual (English/German) graduate of the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute New York who, after a long break, returned to acting in 2016.

I am friendly, professional, dedicated and committed, continuously engaging in both further training and work to broaden my experience and hone my skills in a range of performance styles within theatre, film and television. To this end, I attended - and subsequently graduated from - The Actors Class in London in 2016-17.
