Liz Viera

My name is Liz Viera and I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I came to the United States in my mid-twenties determined to follow in my father’s footsteps as a business person and entrepreneur. I started my career in the specialty food industry which was a perfect fit to one of my life long passions, cooking!

Shortly after starting a family, I obtained my Masters in Education and transitioned to my next career passion as a Spanish teacher. Talk about being the center of attention and coming up with new scripts every day! I love making a difference and helping children form a love of languages and cultures.

As a single mom, juggling a career and the demands of raising two children, I have developed the resiliency and determination to push my boundaries. Now that my kids are grown, I am challenging myself in new ways and in every case, following my passions! Whether in the classroom, on the tango dance floor, on a yoga mat or in front of the camera, I live every day with gratefulness, confidence and curiosity about what lies next.

Another long time dream? Giving power to other people’s stories through my own voice. I desire to place myself in challenging roles and continue to stretch my limits. In the last year, to compliment my teaching, I began to pursue acting and I am exploring new horizons. I can’t wait to see where this new path takes me!
