HI! I'm a non-union actor living in LA. Inspired by Audrey Helps Actors, I've been working on my self-tape practice (stay ready so you don't have to get ready). I have a BA in theatre and have directing experience - I'm comfortable providing feedback if requested. I've been lucky to work with great readers and look forward to working together to get you that booking!
I was born and raised in South Carolina where I learned, despite Yankee parents, to appreciate sweet tea, boiled peanuts and porch sittin'... cornbread... BBQ (vinegar & mustard-based only, please!). Currently living in Los Angeles with my sweet pup, Homer Dean.
At 16 years old, I was admitted to the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, a conservatory-style actor training program for high school juniors and seniors. After 3 semesters at UNC Chapel Hill, I transferred to Sarah Lawrence College where I studied acting, directing, dance and literature, graduating with a BA in Liberal Arts. I'd know since I was a kid what I wanted to do with my life - from my start in church musicals to the middle school summer I spent reading Terrance McNally's Lips Together, Teeth Apart again and again, fascinated by characters I'd hoped to understand one day.
My hobbies include trying local BBQ, hiking LA trails, reformer-style pilates and other somatic embodiment practices including Body-Mind Centering, Feldenkrais and Klein Techniques. I love bluegrass and Americana music and reading new playwrights. I'm an NPR fanatic and Mary Louise Kelly stan. Most days you'll find me at the dog park with Homer and his buddies.
Currently non-union and seeking commercial and theatrical representation in LA and Atlanta.
