Katie Johantgen

Hi! I am an NYC-based actor/comedian who would love to help you nail your audition, especially if it's comedy related.

A little bit about me, I graduated in 2014 from the Musical Theatre program at Temple University and have been living and working in NYC since 2016. I starred in the original casts of The Office Musical Parody (Angela and others) and Friends! The Musical Parody (Phoebe) both Off-Broadway.

I recently booked and wrapped a featured role in an upcoming comedy feature film by SONY (still in production) which will be having a nationwide theatrical release this coming summer. I've played leading roles in indie comedy feature films, web series, and digital shorts, and am a comedy writer/director myself, with several award-winning comedy shorts.

I completed the full improv comedy program at UCB and have also studied improv at iOWest and Philly Improv Theater. I'm also a stand up comedian and have performed all over the city and in several comedy festivals nationwide. I also make theatre-related comedy TikTok videos with my husband James Penca!
