Kate Jirelle

I am an Australian actor, teacher, writer and producer based in Sydney.

When it comes to acting and my other creative work I try to operate from two key philosophies:

Find the joy. Play the truth.

I believe as actors, our best work comes from having the freedom to play joyfully within a scene, so that we can discover the truth of the character we're portraying within our own selves. That's why I always aim to approach self-tapes from a supportive, fun, and positive place that is respectful of your own acting process so that we can achieve the best result possible.

If I am not available and you would like to set up a time to work together, feel free to reach out:

I understand that the creative industry is often an expensive one to be a part of.

Some gentle payment suggestions if you have the funds are:
▷ 15 mins - Pay what you can
▷ 30 mins - $15
▷ 1 hour - $25

NOTES ABOUT MY OWN TRAINING:
I am an alumni of The Australian Film and Television Academy, and have also trained in the Chubbuck Method under Anthony Brandon Wong and Jackie Diamond. Additionally, I have also studied audition technique and comedy technique under Kristina Sexton of On Set Coaching.
While my natural accent is Australian, I am also proficient in General American, Southern, Received Pronunciation and West Country UK

Kate Jirelle is a Sydney-based actress, writer and producer.

As an actress she has portrayed roles in several short films including the role of Pandora in THE TAME PAINTER - a multi-award-winning film produced by Travelling Circus Productions. Her portrayal of this character won her the Best International Supporting Actress award at the PRODIGY FILM FESTIVAL. In May 2019, she was also voted as runner-up in the Most Promising Actress of the Month competition run by Star Central Magazine. In 2021 she will also make her feature film debut in the Australian Rom-Com, LOVE YOU LIKE THAT, produced by Glasshouse Australia and starring Mitchell Hope, John Jarratt, Allira Jacques and Steph Tisdell.

In 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic she joined forces with Francisca Braithwaite to found the production company, Blue Sparrow Entertainment. This has provided Kate with yet another avenue to tell more original, honest and heartfelt stories as both a writer and producer. At present, the company has several projects at various stages of pre and post-production. Their debut short film, SEVEN STAGES received critical acclaim across the international film festival circuit.
