Ironically last year he was John Cleeses official Basil Fawlty in Phil McIntyre's Fawlty Towers at the Edinburgh Festival speaking the lines from the show for the first time in front of a live audience in 40 years,while the play he co wrote Goodbye The Afterlife of Cook and Moore in which he had to recast his role of Peter Cook went ahead to a sell out run at Dingwalls in Camden with standing ovations.
