Joan Powers is known for Hidden Gems (2022), Magnum P.I. (2018) and Ala Moana Boys and most recently NCIS Hawaii. She's a trained scene study actor with Z/A Studio LA, SF and HNL.
In the beginning of her acting career, Joan started as a background actor on several television episodics and major features that filmed in Hawaii. After joining SAG-AFTRA, she started auditioning for speaking roles which led her to study with acting teachers Sally Jackson, Eric Nemoto and currently Robert Zimmerman & Peter Allas of Z/A Studio.
Joan most recently booked a co-star role in NCIS Hawaii, had a principal role in the Hallmark movie Hidden Gems 2022 as Yoga Instructor Michelle, had a co-star role in Magnum P.I as Will’s Mom and co-starred in Ala Moana Boys as Haruyo Ida.
Joan continues her advanced scene study classes with Z/A Studio, weekly kickboxing workouts and yoga practice.
