Hey there! I'm a seasoned and regularly-working actress in film and TV, working and auditioning at the recurring and series regular level. My most recent credits including a recurring role on AMC's Dietland, a guest star on The Blacklist, and an upcoming show on Apple+. I'm also a writer and producer with several pilots in development.
For many years, I've also been an actor's business coach, with a gift for helping people lean into their essence. I'm a great scene partner who will give you dynamic energy, offer feedback if requested, and help you deliver your spot-on essence. I also have excellent comedic timing, so if your sides are funny--you're in good hands!
Actress Jen Ponton is a comedic force, consistently serving up big laughs on screen. A Muppet enthusiast, horror fanatic, and body love activist, Ponton’s seasoned resume continues to grow.In 2018, Jen recurred on AMC’s critical darling Dietland as fiery fat activist ‘Rubi.’ She has also guested on The Blacklist, 30 Rock, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Deadbeat, Orange is the New Black, Blue Bloods, Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order: SVU, The Slap, and The Good Wife. She will also be appearing in several highly-anticipated Apple+ series in 2020.
Jen’s film credits include a starring role in the indie film Love on the Run with Frances Fisher and Steve Howey, the Warner Brothers film Going in Style, and Chuck with Liev Schreiber. She is currently making the festival rounds starring in Tessa Slovis’ Pizza Party, a #MeToo-centric film based on the Larry Nasser trials.
Jen is also a producer and writer with several pilots in development, including the long-running web series, The Weirdos Next Door. She produced and starred in concept pilots for two of her series--the one-hour period piece Queens of Daytime, and the half-hour comedy The Reunion. Her writing has been solicited by several production companies, and she is a 2020 semifinalist for the Sundance Episodic Lab.
She is a regular storyteller for Mortified, and host of All the Fucks, a storytelling podcast about caring too much.
