Hi, there! I’m Dave McClain, an award-winning actor and experienced voiceover artist, originally from Ohio, now living in Texas.
I’ve completed nearly 200 screen acting projects, including over 100 films, since mid-2016, including feature films & short films, TV shows & web series, commercials & industrials.
I would love to help you with your next audition – or just a scene you’re working on! I’m an excellent reader (including with cold reads) – and I can adapt to any kind of read you’re looking for!
I can also help you with your self-tape set-up. Mine is good enough that I rent it out to other actors in my area – and I have over 30 years of experience as a videographer and editor!
If you wish, I can also provide you with solid feedback and light coaching. I've attended acting classes almost constantly for the past eight years, I've won multiple individual acting awards - and I'm a former teacher!

I am Dave McClain, an award-winning actor and experienced voiceover artist, originally from the Cleveland area, now living outside of Houston.
I’ve completed nearly 200 screen acting projects, including over 100 movies (just since mid-2016), including feature films & short films, TV shows & web series, commercials & industrials, internet videos and music videos.
I’ve acted on stage in five states, in L.A. and in Europe and perform in a variety of live venues.
I’m also involved in ongoing acting and voiceover training, always working to get better.
I’ve earned a reputation as a reliable, versatile, directable team player whom producers, directors, other actors & crew members ask to work with again and again!
I taught high school history for seven years and served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, as a broadcast journalist and public affairs soldier/supervisor.
My other hobbies and interests include movies, TV & music; collecting coins & antiques; trivia, politics, history & travel.
I'm a well-rounded person who works hard and plays hard - and is passionate about the arts!
