Actor's Bio:
Christa Engelbrecht has extensive experience in theatre, film, singing and voice over work in Sweden and the United Kingdom and made her Swedish debut with Gothenburg English Studio theatre playing Me in Do You Understand Me?

Christa was born in South Africa and raised in Namibia, before moving to London to study at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University London. During her 14 years in London, she performed on various stages throughout London and starred in short films that were screened at film festivals like the Liverpool Biennial and the Raindance Film Festival.

Recognized by directors for an acting style that is "courageous and wonderful" and for having "great comedic timing," Christa is currently in development for a series of comedy sketches and podcast focused on the joys and perils of parenting.

As a talented mezzo soprano, Christa has studied at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, performed live throughout Gothenburg and recorded various singles. She is the winner of the Angela Carrington Awards 2016 for Jazz.
