Early Life and Inspiration: Chris was initially inspired to become an actor by Patrick Stewart and his portrayal of Captain Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation. The fictional Captain's love of the classic works of Shakespeare pushed Chris into theater in his teens and twenties and continues to fuel his love of acting to this day.

Education and Training: After honing his craft in college, where he majored in Drama, Chris furthered his training by attending workshops and classes focused on film acting, scene study, and improv. This unique blend of classical theater experience and modern training has equipped him with a versatile skill set.

Career Highlights: Chris' professional journey began on the stage, delivering powerful performances in roles ranging from Lord Montague in Romeo and Juliet in the early 2000s, to his most recent performance as Kent in the New Mexico Shakespeare Festival's production of King Lear in 2022. Transitioning to the screen, he has since appeared in several Western, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi films, each role further establishing his presence in these genres. Notable credits include the Knight in The Curse and the Covenant, Michael in Portraits, and John White in Elevate Her.

Personal Philosophy and Aspirations: Beyond the camera, Chris is a fervent student of the craft, continually exploring the depths of character development and storytelling. He aspires to work with visionary directors and writers who seek to push the boundaries of cinema and theater. His ultimate goal is not just to be known for his roles in Western and Sci-Fi genres or his Shakespearean performances but to leave a lasting impact on audiences through stories that challenge, entertain, and inspire.

Closing: As Chris Black strides forward in his career, he carries with him a dedication to the art of acting and a commitment to bringing complex, captivating characters to life. Whether on the dusty trails of a Western, out in the vast cosmic wonder of a Sci-Fi saga, or under the spotlight of a Shakespearean tragedy, Chris's journey is one to watch.
