Carl Fisk

I'm an accomplished actor, with a recurring role on Hulu's "The Path" and several other network credits. I'm skilled at cold reads, and I have a good eye to provide coaching if desired. Let's book you that audition.

The abstract:
I'm an accomplished actor, with a recurring role on Hulu's "The Path" and several other network credits. More interestingly however, I’m a globally recognized name and multiple-time national medalist in the extreme sport of armored combat. I was the top medieval combat instructor in NYC before I moved to Atlanta in October of 2020. I’m also a trained fight director, I have equestrian experience, I’m familiar with muskets and flintlock firearms, etc. Basically, I’m here for all your action/period piece needs. I’m the good-humored but steadfast ranger who will guide you safely on your quest. Think Heath Ledger crossed with Jack Lemmon.

The backstory:
I grew up in the Adirondack mountains of upstate NY without T.V. or internet. I had a father who believed in me to a reckless degree: he started me rock climbing at three, ice climbing at six, taught me to use firearms safely at seven, and brought me scuba diving at ten. There's a whole story I tell about how he pushed me off a roof to teach me how to rappel when I was six. It was a very "sink or swim" childhood (for which I'm eternally grateful) and luckily I wound up in the latter category. I've always loved history and fantasy, and when I declared at twelve that I wanted to learn blacksmithing, we built a forge in my yard out of firebrick and an old reverse-engineered shop-vac to act as a bellows. I took smithing lessons from a classical blacksmith who also lived in the Adirondacks.
My family was never well-off financially, which really served as a blessing in disguise; I learned how to do plumbing and electrical work on my own, as well as carpentry and basic masonry. Because of this, I have a huge breadth of knowledge and ability when it comes to playing blue-collar types.
In 2018, I auditioned and was selected for a show called "Knight Fight" on the History Channel. Despite being the only person in my episode to have never fought in armor, I won my episode, launching me to national recognition in the sport. I attribute this victory to the fact that I'm a trained fight director with a deep grasp of weapon mechanics, plus my background in boxing, Muay Thai, and personal training. Using my prize money to buy a suit of plate armor, I continued to compete in the sport of armored combat, winning medals in local and national levels, including Gold in men's 5v5 in the U.S. Eastern Regionals, and Bronze in men's 5v5's at New World Cup. To this day, I've never been defeated in a one on one pro-fight. I was recognized as the top armored combat instructor in NYC before moving to Atlanta, and I'm currently the head U.S. trainer in viking age armored combat.
STANDING INVITATION: I will source armor for any celebrity interested in coming to Atlanta to duel with me. We'll duel, if desired I'll instruct, and I'll buy them drinks after while we nurse our bruises.
