Carla Renata

Carla Renata is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and a graduate of Howard University, where she obtained a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with some post-grad work in Writing/Public Relations at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) She made history becoming the ONLY actress to have recurred on "four" network shows simultaneously in one episodic season Twice. She is currently recurring on the hit NBC sitcom "Superstore" An Emmy Nominated VO artist, Carla has been seen and/or heard in numerous promo campaigns, video games and national commercials. As well as, on Broadway, with including "Gary Coleman" (yes, that Gary Coleman) in the Tony Award Winning musical "Avenue Q" and The Lion King to name a few. She is a film critic Black Hollywood Live and a member of BFCA (Broadcast Film Critics Association), AAFCA (African American Film Critics Association) and a Rotten Tomatoes approved critic. She is the creator and Host of The Curvy Critic with Carla Renata, which streams live at BHL Online Sunday 5pm PST.
